Little Daisy was sold on several times, she had just become a commodity in the eyes of her owners.! Daisy’s last owner did not know much about horses, so CHPA helped him every step of the way.
When Diana came across Daisy one day, she was extremely skittish and had become very nervous. Diana then and there realised that something was horribly wrong and suspected that she was not being treated or handled correctly at her home. Daisy was now permanently on Diana’s radar.
This shocking photograph was taken when Daisy was found in her overloaded cart. Diana confiscated her immediately and took Daisy to the safety of our Recovery and Rehabilitation Centre where she received everything she needed to become whole again.
When Daisy arrived at her new foster home, she quickly became the favorite among the children. Although Daisy has an attitude when being tacked up, she is the sweetest pony under saddle. Daisy became the perfect lead rein pony, did little jumps, went to Sanesa and has also been to a few training shows. But don’t put it past her to know exactly where the gate is! When they were told that Daisy was going to be adopted out, as she was only being fostered by them, the whole yard decided that Daisy is already at her forever home and living with her new family!
Daisy continues to put big smiles on the little ones faces. Daisy’s workload is minimal these days and she spends it grazing and hanging out with her small thoroughbred herd. Daisy’s ‘mom’s’ favorite part of the day; receiving loads of cuddles from Daisy darling.
