Folks, this is darling Poplin.  She was unfortunately attacked by some dogs on the field while she was grazing.  They attacked her face and as a result, we were not able to save her right eye.
Dogs attacking horses is unfortunately a reality for some living on the Cape Flats.
Dr Lee from Cape Vet Equine Practice did an excellent job and Poplin is recovering well and receiving all the meds, care and attention that she needs and deserves at our Recovery and Rehabilitation Center.
Please support our work today so we can always be there for these precious horses when they need us the most.

DR. LEE STARTING TO OPERATE ON POPLINS EYE.

ALL DONE. IT WAS CLEARLY A SUCCESSFUL OPERATION!

All bandaged up and now to heal. Dr. Lee is holding Cartina, a Cape Equine Vet Mascot, who is helping CHPA bring in funds for our vet bills. Make a donation and she can come and stay with you for a week!
