On the 23rd of February, Leroy, his cart horse King Mick and Meisie his loyal dog, were out working when a nearby dog suddenly went into a frenzy, barking and trying to reach King Mick. Startled, King Mick bolted, causing both Leroy and Meisie to tumble off the cart. Unfortunately, a bakkie approaching from the opposite direction swerved in an attempt to avoid King Mick but ended up colliding with him. The impact struck King Mick’s head.
The driver, deeply concerned, amazingly contacted CHPA to request assistance. Inspector Jolize quickly responded and brought King Mick back to our Epping Clinic where Dr. Lee was already waiting for him. Upon arrival, pain relief medication was administered and his injuries carefully assessed. King Mick had the side of his nose and jaw cut open with a smaller bump above his eye.

King Mick after he was sedated and put on a drip. You can clearly see the extent of his injuries.
