Sadly our ID plate excitement was marred by a sad story!

Just before 5, Diana received a call from the Bonteheuwel Area Rep that Meisa had injured her neck. Off we sped to the stable yard and brought her back to Epping.

After shaving up and cleaning the wound … it started to look more like a rope that had cut into her head, behind her ears and down the one side of her cheek… she is still with us for treatment and recovery. Very fat lady though!

The worst thing of it is that some of the owners still use rope to tether their horses, because if they put on halters, they are stolen! The joys of living on the Cape Flats! If anyone has second hand good conditon halters we are always in need. Especially pony size.
