He was permanently confiscated last year and then rehomed to a guest house in Franschhoek with his newly acquired mate Toffee from the McGregor Donkey Sanctuary … well here he is … as happy as can be! We love these pics!

Junior (ID # 672) and Captain (ID # 668) were sighted as they were driving along the road. The caller said he was very impressed at how slow and careful the driver (Gold Dollar) was driving, and that the guard with him was holding the reins very nicely while the driver was indicating which way

Poor Chrisjan.  Not long ago, he was stolen and worked for a whole weekend with no feed or water. The thieves then tried to sell him to a cart horse owner. Luckily for Chrisjan, the prospective buyer was suspicious and called CHPA.  He was told that the horse had been stolen and was definitely not

Clint

Clint belonged to Mr. Solomons, a very dear friend of CHPA. After his death, his son Seppie inherited Clint. Unfortunately Seppie was much too fond of the bottle and neglected the horse.  Seppie’s sister Karin Solomons,  a well known cart horse owner, took Clint from her brother and agreed to sign him over to CHPA.
