Rubin was returned to his owner today who was ecstatic to have him back and brought in some fruit for the staff at Cart Horse Protection Association to show his appreciation.
The generosity and humbleness of the cart horse owners astounds me everytime, with the little they have, they will find something to spare to give the CHPA staff for their hard work and dedication to the horses.
A month ago, Rubin was hit by a truck. The right side of his face was swollen and he was concussed. Disorientated and lacking hearing and sight on the injured side, Rubin was unable to walk without falling over his own feet. In his stable Rubin stood with his head in the corner. Our Inspectors …
